CHRISTMAS GOOD NEWS
The good news of Christmas is that God delivered His peace and goodwill (grace) to ALL people. To Muslims, Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Atheists....all mankind, regardless. Through Jesus God has made peace with us ALL. He's not angry with us, He's not out to punish us and He not out to reject us or find fault with us.
The good news for every person is that God's Grace; His unearned, undeserved favor, salvation, forgiveness and blessing is a free gift for all who would receive it, regardless of religious upbringing, culture or background. God is interested in YOU personally, He wants intimacy with YOU and Jesus qualifies YOU for that relationship. No other person made such a claim, not Mohammed, Buddha nor Krishna, only Jesus!
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE, BE BLESSED, BE LOVED, DON'T FEAR, GOD IS WITH US!
"EMMANUEL!"
Luke 2:10-14 The angel said to them, Fear not: for, I bring you good news of great joy to all people.....on earth peace, good will toward men.

Jesus is the focus of grace and all the scriptures. When we understand that grace is all about Jesus it takes the pressure off of us to perform. Trusting and focusing on Jesus and what he has done for us takes us into a higher state of being and living which works it's way out in our daily lives and relationships.http://youtu.be/Z0zbj_5pgSU

In life, you can travel the rough and bumpy road of self effort and independence, or get onto the high-way of God's grace, and cruise along, depending on His goodness and guidance. It's a higher way of living and it's good news. Here is some of my personal testimony of how after burning out and then falling into depression, the Holy Spirit reveal to me that there is a higher way of living in Jesus, a way called Grace.

SIN IS NOT OUR MASTER
Our sinful actions can no longer ruin our right standing (righteousness) with God, but they can ruin our life and our witness to others. http://gracelovetruth.com/?p=496
Our actions no longer determine our right standing with God. New Covenant righteousness is founded on Jesus (i) and not on our works. Now some may say "That is a licence to sin" (ii), WRONG!! It is in fact a licence and empowerment to do what is good, holy and right!
YEAH, yeah, we all know that sin is harmful and sin is bad. It harms us and harms others, but the good news is that those who are in Christ are no longer enslaved by Sin (iii). It no longer controls us but we control it. WE CAN SAY NO, we can choose to do things differently. The the grace of God and the empowering (iv) of the Holy Spirit living in us, enables us to think, live and do, in a right way - a way that honors our Holy Father and blesses others. And, when we get it wrong, which we all do at some stage, God's grace and forgiveness covers us (v).
Our loving heavenly Father knows that sinful actions harm and rob us of the abundant life (vi) and blessings He has provide for us. That is why Jesus has set us free from the power and domination of sin and made us slaves to righteousness (vii), and what we are slaves to, we listen to, and obey..... it used to be sin, but now through Jesus' grace, its righteousness.
Hum, let me think about that, righteousness is now my master and I belong to Him, wow, now that's good news that will change my life as I choose to accept and believe it?!

(i) Rom 3:22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. (ii) Rom 6:1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! (iii) Rom 6:6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.... (iv) Tit 2:12 Grace teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, (v) Rom.4:7 "Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. (vi) John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (vii) Rom 6:18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
Mr. Fix it?
2Co 5:16-17 From now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
God's not like Bob the Builder - "Mr Fix It". He's not out to find the faults we have and then fix them. You cannot be initimate with someone who is always pointing out your faults. Many marriages fail precisely because of this attitude - one partner trying to fix the other. In the end it just becomes too much. Sadly many believer have grown up thinking that this is exactly the kind of relationship God wants with us,- "Mr.Fix It". The Holy Spirit says that we have already been made you totally anew. We are a new creature, a new species, a new beings, as we have been included in, and joined with, Christ. God saw the brokeness of mankind and His permanent and complete fix was the cross. The issue is no longer about us getting fixed but about us believing - renewing our thinking as to who we now are in Christ. As we realize our new identity; that we are new creations and our old self has passed away, so change takes place because as we believe so then we become. We will find that our circumstances, our emotions and our behavior gradually start to come into line with God's truth and promises to us. Holy and righteous living comes about as we fix our eyes on Jesus and believe in what he has done for us on the cross.
